I met Mr Apia in 2006 on a dating website because we didn’t have apps yet. On the desk top computer.
I voted yes on the poll, I hope I did it right.

Welcome back, Bianca! I've been on so many apps for so long. I finally quit So maybe it wasn't for me. But here's what I learned: it doesn't matter what you say b/c most men don't even read your profile (or care about it), they just look at your pic. My opening line was to ask their favorite movie. It gives you something to discuss. Being clever or jokey doesnt work too well.

I went a different way, but also, it wasn’t an app. I wrote a bio and wrote in it what I want and what I don’t want. For example, at that time I wanted a real relationship. I wrote that if the guy wants an affair, or something casual or no commitment, it’s cool for him, but not what I want and he shouldn’t bother with me.

I wanted the guys who wanted, to quote the Barbie movie
“long-term long-distance low-commitment casual girlfriend“ to just keep it moving.

And I remember, when I read the bio of Mr Apia, I thought it’s a great fit.

So yey for profiles!

I feel like the people in my life who have been sick don't speak a lot about how it feels.

Hearing Bianca's story gave me so much perspective and empathy for it. I feel so ignorant about what people go through.

Great to hear here again and glad she's doing well.

You're lucky! I think it was different back then. Now, ppl can scroll so easily thru so many apps...
