I was walking a lake, stopped by to grab something at some cafe and incidentally met a stranger that I ended up having a very long conversation with. It was immediate; it felt like I knew this person...it was so weird.

This guy looked like the picture of health, like he clearly works out and he was in his late 30s, and he was good-looking, tbh. Anyway, he eventually shared he got diagnosed with cancer like 2 weeks ago. I asked what kind bc I work in healthcare. He told me. My immediate thought was, thats too close to your brain. He also told me he had broken up with his girlfriend.

Anyway, I'm fucked, bc it seems to me I form connections with the most unavailable mfs on planet earth.

When we looked at an intern we always thought, Okay, you’re kinda an adult. Nice.

In fact, no joke, I remember looking at Kyle across the cafe table and I said, and I quote: “okay. Ok. Nice.”

Nice to hear I'm nice to hear! I started interning for Keith and Chemda in 2009 (I was 19yo), just about 15 years ago. i had at that point been listening for 3 years, and had written in twice and I think I called in at one point too. Can anyone uncover those instances?

We sat down and had a milkshake and they determined I was stable enough to be in their home, and the rest is history!
