Actually my old professor, son of two jewish holocaust survivors, read it in class and thought it was damn funny. Different strokes for different folks.

Millions suffered and millions died 'cause of that "funny book."

Noting the preposterousness of it is one thing.

Understanding that from it derived much evil and death and giving it it's due notice is another

You're right - different strokes, but I find nothing funny in a work of evil.

Evil is subjective though I'm afraid.

NO.

And it disrespects the memories of the dead because it was such a fucking laugh to KATG and Matt. It's a fucking disgrace.

I'll say this, Joel: I appreciated the plays being read.

I felt it gave me some insight into this kid's mind and I began to get a more comprehensive idea of the state he was in. The plays were sop terribly written that it would have been difficult not to make fun of them, but I think this kid would have been far more nebulous and less real had I not heard them.

As someone who has so little emotional connection to tragic events (it's one of my character flaws) the plays actually gave me a connection to this whole debacle, something I have rarely had in regards to any tragedy.

Not all evil is subjective.

There are evils that transcend cultures and are part of the Human condition.

Besides, that's still only 2.2 million. Hitler was responsible for at least 5 times that count.
