I started reading from the beginning of this thread because after I heard the show this morning I figured there would be at least one person that was offended. To that person and all the others that are offended, just stop...yes, you thought it was tasteless for KATG and Matt to act out the plays but, in my mind it gave a glimpse into Cho's mind, something that no news broadcast could have given on regular TV. This podcast allowed life to be given to the words that Cho had written, something that people need to hear to learn, to study, to recognize the tell-tale signs of someone who is unbalanced and in need of psychological treatment. (There will be a lot of learning, controversy, surrounding this event. My cousin dropped out of this college not more than a month ago, so I'm not just speaking out of my ass on this) I'm not speaking for KATG or Matt but I believe their goal wasn't to dishonor the lives of the people that died but, to give insight into the plays. I use humor to cope with things and today I had tears in my eyes from laughing so hard at their rendition of 'Mr. Brownstone'. I'd like to thank you guys for giving a broader look at this situation to the listeners.
BTW, I saw the pictures and video sent to NBC, it's chilling the absolute death-calm (pun intended) on this kid's face in the pictures, it literally sent shivers down my spine. |
