How can anyone be offended by them reading it? Be offended by him writing it! So what if they read it. As some who speaks english, I was offended that this chinaman called himself an english major. Those plays sucked!
And Keith, we don't need more gun control. We need more guns. Do you really think that a law is going to stop someone? There are already laws against killing people but that didn't stop him. If those teachers or students had the option to pack heat, the chinaman still would have shot some people but he would have been taken down way before he got to 32. |

Oh, and for those who are so offended by this episode, KATG has made fun of:
Black People White People Jews Catholics Christians in general Muslims Persians Arabs Asian People Hispanic People Retarded People Crippled People and of course... Truck Drivers (HONK HONK!) Sorry, but you don't really get to pick and choose what you get offended by without getting labeled a hypocrite. Taking offense to this when you laughed at jokes about something like slavery is hypocritical, and acting like you have some sort of moral high ground because this tragedy is in recent memory is plain sad. |

Offended is a feeling of indignation or disgust towards an act or statement. It is not a feeling of indignation towards everything. JWDD27 and all of us have a right to feel such towards that which we find repulsive without the need to justify it by stating that we find everything offensive. We should, though, clarify what it was that made us feel so. |

and as such, emotions are raw. Given a few months, not so. Gumby013 posted that NLO link, in which they themselves say that were Towery to come out immediately after 9/11 people would have been outraged. I would have. You might have too. And the NLO joke would have offended me. But six years later the nerves endings have deadened. Time has washed over us, and emotions about those days don't well up immediately. I found the NLO thing pretty funny. Who can predict what tragedy or event might evoke emotion in each one of us?
