Deuce, did you really say the gentiles killed your grandfather, I think you did. Do they really teach you gentiles are your enemy? Thirty to forty million of my Russian ancestors perished in that war. You don't hear us whining about it. Well, maybe a little.

My wife and I donate to the USO, (Gunner, let us know if this is a good idea) one of the ways we donate is by donating to the USO phone home program which gives soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan phone cards so they can call home, but people can also donate time by helping out with the care packages that are sent, etc.

Also on the USO site you can see celebrities like Drew Carey and Charles Barkley and my favorite Toby Keith (not because I like country music because I don't) who has been to Iraq, something like 18 times and on USO concert tours 5 times, with the most recent tour early in May, and the best part he is a democrat that really doesn't support George Bush!, but he does really support our troops, (oh and he is from Oklahoma)

Anyway, if you want to mobilize the KATG listeners to help someone out, I think that our military is a great place to start. I can't stand those stupid ass magnetic ribbons on the back of cars that say "support our troops" what do they really do to support our troops, other than buy a magnetic ribbon?

Here is the USO site.

This reminds me of my ex-girlfriend.

She was Greek, and waaaayyyy back in the past the Turks and the Greeks had a bit of a falling out in which the Turks killed a ton of Greeks. This was way before she was born and I don't believe it happened to any of her relatives.

But she still had it in her soul to hate the Turks. She said that she just can't trust the entire race for something their ancestors did generations ago. How dumb.

They still feel that way, i think they were at war with the Turks for like 200 years including the ottoman occupation.

the USO is great, i saw a few USO shows. The shows get the most attention, but that is the smallest part of USO. There is a USO in every major airport where we can use the internet, watch movies, sleep, they have food and drink, everything. Also the USO has setups in a few camps, I got to go to the one in Ali al-Saleem, Kuwait, Doha, Qatar, and a few in Iraq. Those are the best thing about USO. They also give us phone cards so we can call home, letter-writing stuff, and that is great too. Once I got back, I asked my mom to volunteer at the USO in the San Antonio Airport in her free time, and she loves it. All things said, the USO is a great orginization, and I honsetly would have absolutly would have hated the last tour without them.

PS- I hate those magnets too, if you support us, do it in actions, not words.
