Maybe HUAR should expand to kill nerds?

Is it not nerds that make robots and send stupid letters to Brother Love about stopping support thinking it matters? I say the robots may be innocent: their creators must perish!!! ( too)

I'd give you your requisite Fuck You, but somebody else's dog got taken away, so my heart's just not in it.

In regards to Joyce's comment about his comedy tour group having a deeper meaning or connection than other comedy tours like the rednecks or the middle eastern guys: recovering addicts are not the only people who have some meaningful and deep to share amongst each other in order to become a successful comedy tour.

And I am a recovering addict -- clean since Dec 30 , 1990.
Yes, we come back from the depths of despair and destruction but other people can bond over more or less just as well. And even tell a funny joke or two.

Give Ellen a break...

And remember she's on day time TV. She's in a position where she CAN go to work like this, and people are going to eat it up and see a more human side of her.

This is probably the accumulation of lots of things just coming tumbling down, you know when you just need ONE more thing to push you over the edge?

I don't think it's completely about the dog either, its just when you think you're doing the right thing and you get fucked. Especially when you know that if you lied, you could have gotten away with it. When people around you don't act rationally because they're powertripping, it's frustrating.

"Under the false pretense of running a check on the new household, reps for the agency appeared at Marks' home Sunday night. But the Mutts and Moms posse also included animal-control officials and police officers, who aided the rescue in repossessing Iggy, as Marks and her daughters watched in anguish."

"Ryan opened the interview, 'I heard this morning that this dog, Iggy, is now with another family.' Ellen’s reply showed how heartbroken and bitter she is toward the whole situation.

She said, 'Yeah, that’s what I just heard, too. The statement was, ‘Finally, it’s in a safe home.’ "

"Batkis (the person who ran the rescue agency) vowed never to return the dog to the hairdresser and accused Ellen of being a pampered celebrity."

Pampered Celebrity? At least she wasn't acting like an ignorant power tripping bitch. There was no common sense in this entire thing.

COME ON! That would frustrate and piss me off too - Batkis is just being a bitch because she can. Why couldn't they even have checked out the family Ellen gave it too? I KNOW it's just a dog, but it's the principle...

I'd feel fucked over, frustrated, and would cry.

Oh and as a follow up... OMFG it IS hard to adopt a dog! Animal rescue groups can get a little retarded with all their rules!

It's way easier to get a dog from a puppy mill than from the SPCA

"Many animal-welfare workers treat adoption interviews "like the Spanish Inquisition," says Pierre Barnoti, executive director of the Montreal SPCA"

http://www.theglobeandmail.com/servl.../lifeMain/home

I think it's interesting to see this issue finally raised in a society where we treat dogs better than children.

(says the girl with the very well dressed puppy...ugh...I hate myself for it )

What is it with bawling these days? First that Chris guy, now Ellen.

At least she has the excuse of being menopausal.

Is it weird that I found her bawling and sniffling for those 'poor little girls' so amusing that I listened twice, but when Chemda was fake crying about her car being towed I just couldn't take it and had to fast forward...
