Even though so-called "reality" shows are scripted to some extent and have writers, the union that covers these writers is not the same as the one on strike currently (WGA). I expect the WGA strike to last for quite some time - I'll miss Colbert. Just give the writers some fucking money, jesus christ.

One day when my brother was reading meters for PSO (Oklahoma's power company) in a small town in southeastern OK, a toothless redneck came out of his trailer and started complaining about how high his bill was. Never one to pass up an oppurtunity to mess with a hillbilly, my brother told him that if he painted a brick silver and put it on his meter it would make the meter run slower. The next time he worked that route, over half the houses had silver bricks on the meters.

When a local anchorman was talking about the riots in France a little over a year ago, he described the mobs as mostly made up of poor muslims and African-Americans. Yeah. In France.
