Tokyo Pancake

True story-

I had a student who once had to go to Tokyo for ER training as a nurse. She told me -

"One night the Ambulance came in, and the taxi driver involved said, 'Yeah, she just fell off the building, onto the hood of my car. It's broken."

The old taxi driver hung around for hours. The nurse thought that he was just concerned. Finally, my student came out, told him that she was in a coma and tried to kill herself, and said that the girl was basically going to die.

The old man said, in Japanese, "I am just waiting for the money to fix my car... can you call her parents?"

Autism/Retardation

My daughter has Autism...the Spooky kind. And I have to say.....i'm not offended. I'm more offended by Jenny Mcarthy's book and her fake message of hope she is giving parents of children that have autism. A Gultin free diet isn't going to "cure" anything....it may help....but it isn't a "cure". It pisses me off so much that she is using her son to make a profit. Stupid bitch!

Back to work!

My favorite way of calling someone brain-cell-deficient is to call them Corky Thatcher, yes the above average duh-pa-duh from the old tv series "Life Goes On."

While I do believe my people (American's) tend to lean towards narrow-mindedness and obesity, we are by no means alone in this disease of idiocy. I belief that technology may be partly to blame. A good example of this is cell phones and memory. I bet most of us can't remember ten phone number we use on a daily basis. The mere act of having to remember I think helps strengthen neural pathways.

I am wrong, I should take DAve out of that example.. the guy had a stroke, then some dumb guy takes over the presidency because he looks like the guy with the stroke that dies.. but in a way... the guy was dumb and likeable.. sort of like Corky or Forest... right?
