He's totally right. With enough effort you can do anything well enough. A case in point is Susan Polgar. Her dad made her into a chess grandmaster just to prove that nurture was much more influential than nature (i.e. you can make anyone a genius at something)

I agree that if anyone spends a enough time practicing something, they can be very good at it.

But some people don't have to practice. I think talent is sort of...being very good at something naturally. Like me with masturbation.
