Dina shoulda taken a breathalyzer before this show. Little slurry.

Actually, I think that should be part of 'Ask Dina', buy her one of those self breathalyzers and see what she blows every show before she gives advice.

Eventually we can figure out whether he advice is better or worse. ".12, forget advice ask her about doctors..."

It may have been a faulty machine. His friend blew a 0.120 after having only 4 beers and sleeping for what I am guessing (by the kid's story) was several hours.

The ring question

A friend of mine proposed to his girlfriend and was going to spend around $3500 on the ring - the girlfriend wanted a higher caret diamond so she put in another $2000 of her own money. That's offensive to the guy and is, in my opinion, a waste of money. Who cares enough about the caret of a diamond to drop another $2000 on it? Nobody can tell what caret it is and nobody cares , you superficial bitch!

I bought my girlfriend a $200 ring just to propose with so that my new fiance' and I could go pick out a ring that she wanted. She's going to be wearing it for the rest of her life so if you pick out a ring she doesn't like you're going to feel like shit when she tells you or she'll be 'losing' it all the time in the hopes that you buy her another one. As far as 2 months salary on the ring... that's a lot of money that could go towards a house, your wedding, a honeymoon, etc. My advice is to go buy a beautiful ring that suits your girlfriend. If you don't want to do what I did, walk by jewelery shops with her and keep an eye out on what types she likes. If the ring she loves is only $1000 and she doesn't care, then that's the ring you get. You have nothing to prove to your wife-to-be, well you shouldn't. Putting yourself in a huge debt to show her how much you love her isn't a great start to a life together and the cost of the ring isn't directly correlated to how much you love someone.

Women dressing up/down

Women do not dress up for men, either their men or other men. They dress up for other women.

Agreed. If I dressed for guys I'd walk around looking like a hooker.

The kid said he was 125 lbs. and had 9 beers over 2 hours. He also said that he slept for about 2 1/2 hours before the cop came in - 5:00 AM to 7:30 AM. (Cop's report said he came in at 0749.)

According to this: http://www.dot.wisconsin.gov/safety/...calculator.htm

his BAC would be 0.254 (average between results for 120 lbs. and 130 lbs.).

You also lose .01 for every 40 minutes after you drink, so he would have lost an additional 0.0375 over the 2 1/2 hours of sleep.

Resulting BAC is 0.217. Sure, it's an estimate, but it's nowhere near 0.873. Something was wrong with the reading. He would be dead if it were that high.

All that being said, it was a fun enough story to listen to.
