Robert bothers the hell out of me. I almost can't stand him. I say almost because I did listen to the show. What he does and believes in is very interesting, but the guy's hubris is astounding and I was very annoyed every time he shushed Keith.
Man. I hope there's less of that guy in the future. |

I don't think I've ever felt this way about somebody on the show before. Nobody bugs me. I'm not trying to be a dick, I'm just commenting about how the guest made me feel.
When he gave Josh shit about making remarks about David, I felt his taking offense was uncalled for. Has he heard the show before when he wasn't on it? I know he's serious about what he's doing and it should be respected (in fact, I have a genuine interest in it), but EVERYBODY gets shit. I felt like everybody was walking on eggshells the whole time; like everybody was reigning themselves in. Am I wrong? I just haven't come to expect that from the show. The most refreshing thing about it is that nobody holds anything back. I missed it. |

So you think he shouldn't say what's on his mind? If you've listened to the show you can clearly tell that he's usually polite and open about things. If Keith is goofing around when he's trying to be serious, shouldn't he shush him? Otherwise he'd never be able to concentrate on the readings and the other stuff. And I think it's kinda cool when someone goes a little against Keith. Maybe it's just me though.
I love Robert Alvarez as a guest. Him, F-Mos and PotatoE are my favourites. They each deliver an original and inventive take on the show and just help expand the Keith and the Girl as a concept. It's great! |

Why the hell would I have respect for Robert or his beliefs? He's a paid entertainer, not a therapist. The only respect I could have for him would be for a job well done, but he's a shitty cold reader. If you need life advise maybe someone who DOESN'T talk to themselves and hear answers back would be a good place to start. Oh and yes I am a dick.

There were several laugh out loud moments in this segment, and several "ugh get through the spiritual bullshit" moments too. I think both types of moments can be attributed to Robert Alvarez. Nearly every time Robert Alvarez called Keith a pendejo, I was already laughing out loud. I'm glad that Keith knows when to keep being a dickhead!

I don't think Keith was a dick, he pushed the line but I didn't think Robert ever got offended.
Josh The Jew, on the other hand, was a complete dick the whole time. Not sure if he meant it, but it came off that way every time he said anything. Robert is a good guest, but he definitely needs Keith's commentary to be on a comedy podcast, but it's the same for all guests who aren't comedians. |
