Actually...

The hook you're referring to in "Swagger Like Us" is a line from M.I.A.'s song on her new album. It's a nod of approval to MIA from rappers in the hip-hop community. If it's hard to understand, it's because of her accent. Now then, the reason there's a lot of rappers on this song is that rappers nowadays are trying to show unity within the rap community. Now to break down the meaning of the song. IMHO, "swagger like us" refers to your average thugs on the corner not having swagger. Swagger is a style, or better yet swagger is class. Jay-z said it best, "You can go to school, but you can't buy class." He's right because you can have all the money in the world, but if you're still the nerd from high school your style will reflect that. Long story short, it's saying "Noone on the corner have swagger like us" meaning they've got more style and class. TI killed it by the way...

Thanks for the eloquent response.

I was speaking more of the "Republican" and "Democrat" labelling that is always prevalant in any talk of american politics. You rarely hear of a brilliant idea or a plan for betterment without it being attached to one of those labels. At that point, it is apparently obvious that half of the country should disagree with it because of the source. It is getting to the point that americans should have a coke/pepsi taste test election where you just vote on the one you think is the best idea/plan and then they can reveal to you which party it is from.

My wife and I were listening to this show on our way to Mandurah for a few days. As soon as we heard Spooky talking about Tim Tams we started drooling; we had 2 packs ready to be eaten when we got to our destination. Chewy Caramel (the best) and Chocolate Mud (first time I tried this one, not bad).

Here's to hardening arteries with the best chocolate biscuits in the world!

There must be a recent push to import Tim Tams into North America.
I've never heard of Tim Tams before this show and and now I'm hearing Supermarket advertisements for them on the local radio stations here in Vancouver.

I live in Cairns, a tourist town in Australia. I've often seen Japanese tourists buying many packets of Tim Tams. I've often imagined them perhaps selling them at a profit back in Japan - or at least buying them as presents.

I don't think that that sounds like a good idea.

Let's be clear... class and style don't necessarily go hand in hand. I think you'd be hard pressed to convince me that Lil Wayne is "classy" in any matter. I wouldn't call Kanye classy at all, though he's very stylish (and talented, I'm a big fan). See the difference? (Not trying to start a fight, just proving a point).
