I've got a perfect way to make Newsy and Intern settle their shit if they both come to the party. Before they are allowed to enter the house, make them both stay outside and hug each other. And I don't mean a quick little pat on the back "bro hug", they need to hug for an uncomfortable amount of time. Two things can happen: Someone makes a smart ass remark and a fight breaks out (at least it didn't happen inside) OR: It's so ridiculous that they both end up laughing, tension broken.

Either way, it's settled before they ever come inside. I guarantee it will work!

It's not some hippy "hugs will solve everything" solution. It's meant to be super uncomfortable. And I don't think Intern is a homophobe, but even better if he is.
