It is strange, cause i voted "Violence makes kids more violent".

Now the website tells me that i can't vote anymore.

Joking aside, sometimes there is a delay between my responses and what people get on the boars. Maybe because i'm in a different time zone, i don't know.

Just to clarify, i'm saying that violence makes kid more desensitized to violence (not really more violent) but i also say that it's somehow a good thing.

I guarantee that after watching sex, kids are at least 50 times more likely to have sex than they are to be convicted of a violent criminal act after seeing violence. Clearly sex->sex wins hands down.

I think this is split across gender lines.
I voted for violence on TV makes kids more violent.
I think females vote more for the violence in tv makes kids violent, while males vote for the watching sex makes children want sex more.

What do you guys think?

An argument works if you have a counter-argument (As Keith said in one of his cd's... Wanna know which one? Buy the all, you cheap whippersnappers! There's no recession.)

If a kids watch sex he will have sex-. But if he doesn't watch it, he's going to have it anyway. Sex is a natural drive. Actually if it's repressed it goes rampant.

Violence is too, but it's against the law, and human ethics. Kids who watch violence constantly are going to take it as a part of their lives. So they're going to be desensitized and more prone to commit violence (even if not necessarily in a criminal scale). A kid who does not see violence, and is taught that it is a bad thing will be less prone to it.

Jian The Canadian

A quote from an interview he did while in Moxy Fruvous:

"PI - I won't keep you any longer. Give me five good reasons I should move to Canada.

JG - You want serious reasons? Or you want funny reasons?

PI - Both.

JG - Well, water. Americans have been trying to steal our water for a long time. Healthcare. Quebec. A really cool place. Hmmm…trying to avoid my own Canadian clichés. I was going to say "good hockey" but I will say, "Good Beer." If you like good beer, this country can be a real drag to tour in. Your country I'm talking about. And really good donut shops. There's a real proliferation of donuts. You guys don't really have the donut shops we have."

What an amazing insight...

Of course watching sex has more effect on kids. Most humans naturally want to have sex with something. Sex imagery is pandering to your natural instinct to hump. I don't naturally want to kill someone.

And then there are people who get all hard over violence...does that count as a two-fer?
