Turning on comic book geekness (I was once quite a "collector").

Wolverine can get drunk, he just has to drink enough to kill a "normal" man and it doesn't last long enough to really enjoy it.

Wolverine is resistant to drugs and alcohol, so the effects wouldn't last. He used to get really shitfaced and pass out in alleys. So if he drinks enough, he will get drunk - just not for very long.

Here's the thing about Wolverine that I could never figure out. Why the fuck did he age at a normal rate until he reached the age of thirty-something, and then all of a sudden stop aging? If his regenerative powers makes him age super slow or whatever, shouldn't he have been a kid for hundreds of years?
