Aging is when your body's cells start dying at a faster rate than they regenerate, and of course "growing" is when your body is building and regenerating cells at a faster rate than they're dying. There is no logical reason that his abilities would stunt his growth as a youth, as it would actually have to be killing his cells to do that. If anything, he should have grown at an increased speed until adulthood, and should maybe even still be growing.

It's Garth Ennis' thing. He likes to do semi-parodies of superheroes between his bigger works. That's also what Mark Millar did with the Wanted comic (which was shit). Apparently, it's trendy.

Yes, Wolverine can get drunk. You become intoxicated when you drink alcohol faster than the liver can break it down and clear it from your blood stream. It isn't based on the amount of damage that the alcohol is doing to your system. Wolverine can drink and get drunk, but he won't accumulate any lasting damage from doing so.
