I just finished watching it and it was fucking amazing. Everyone was great; Ray's last joke almost killed me and of course John F O'Donnell's crazy self had me in hysterics. The camera quality is amazing; everything was edited quite nice and sound was excellent. You'd be a fool not to buy this.

The Roast
Ho-ly shit. I didn't even get through the dias introductions before I had to go get some aspirin because I had a head ache from laughing so hard.
Jesse Joyce does an amazing job as roast master. John F O'Donnell is crazy (awesome), Ben Lerman has a hilarious song. I even get to see myself as an audience member! If you haven't met me before, I promise I'm not normally that gay and "gasp"y. It's all theatrics folks! But seriously, if anyone was curious about whether or no to get the roast, it'll probably be the last important thing you do this summer. |

I'm only a third of the way in but I gotta say that this thing is worth buying just to see Chemda in that dress.
Hot dayum! Jesse takes a few swings to get into his stride but by the time he's on Ray he's right in the groove. By the time he gets to comparing Ben's ukelele to Lauren I'm pretty much in awe of the dude's roast-jistu. Christian was really good too, fucking brutal to Jesse and with a very moving tribute to the old studio and interns past. Pat's video had me laughing so hard I blew all of the blood vessels in my face, neck and pancreas. Keith's right - the man's some kind of genius. Ray's got kind of a Doug Benson thing going on, in that half of what's funny is that he's a mess. Keith's reactions to some of Ray's flubs - as well as his response to a great moment during Michael Khalili's set where Michael just flat out insults Keith and then moves on to Chemda - are pure gold. This thing's got it goin' on. |

- I would watch an alternative cut of this just with the camera on Keith and Chemda. The reactions - Keith losing his shit over and over and Chemda's shocked face over and over are beyond priceless on this thing.
- JFOD is a human clusterfuck, but he's really, really awesome at it. It must gall the everliving shit out of Jesse that JFOD can barely complete a sentence or coherent thought and yet still kill like crazy. Well ... not "like" crazy ... - Pat Dixon - easily one of the top five on the KATG guest roster - took on the potentially awkward task of the video performance and came through with flying colours. Comedically the guy can do no wrong in my eyes. - Lauren fucking ruled. I mean, she's the real deal. She even outfunnied a couple of the pros. Everytime she's on the show she gets funnier and funnier and here on The Roast she brought it big time. If she's always as fierce and fearless on stage as she was that night it's no wonder she's picking up plaudits and awards left and right all over the planet. - If Ray - bless his cotton socks - ever gets invited to do something like this again, can he at least be put in a cage to keep everyone else safe from his sweaty, meaty paws? And lips? - Loved Diane - she started out by roasting herself but when she turned her flame on the others it was good times, good times. - Mike Lawrence - also easily a top 5 guy in the KATG guest roster - given the unenviable job of going last before the stars of the show just sent shot after shot right to the heart of his targets. I especially loved that Mr Roast Joke Connoisseur himself Jesse Joyce was absolutely rolling, tears streaming, foot stamping, as Mike did his thing. There's just something nice and brotherhoody about seeing one master roaster pay the ultimate tribute of busting his gut while another master roaster does his thing. - Chemda's "Spiderman called" rip on Mike was genius. I rewound it about 8 times and every time her delivery and Mike's reaction shot had me crying. - I thought it looked good and the editing was nicely played too. Really nice work on the production side of things even in spite of some fuckstick sound guys letting you down. Overall a really great tribute to two really talented and uberentertaining peeps by a bunch of their talented and uberentertaining buddies. This thing is a triumph. tl;dr - If nothing else, buy it for Patrice's physical interactions with Jessica during Lauren's set. And for Lauren's set. So fucking impressed with that guy. |

A+++ would buy again
Patriece was my favorite, both when the roast was aimed at her, and when she was doing the roasting. JFOD killed me as a close second. I've watched this at work twice so far, laughing balls both times.
I feel the pain of those having download issues. Chrome worked best for me. |

"Tyler Perry's 'Madea Coons it Up Again'" I think might be one of the funniest things I've heard Jesse say. Likewise: the Ben Lerman/Chemda comparison ("they're both gay and they both finger things from Hawaii that are annoying to listen to for more than five minutes.")
Great stuff. Aces fucking ten, to everybody involved. To have this and "Stay Inside" on the same day was like Christmas morning. You know, but a lot meaner. |

I just read back through the thread and realise I big-upped Pat's thing twice and forgot to mention the awesome response to McNally's great Adam Brown Big Fat Clown impression.

As much as I loved JFOD's ludicrous chaos, Mike's sniper-sharp response to his rip about how he was smelling was a thing of pure comedic gloriousness. |

Thoroughly enjoyed the roast. Aces 10! Jesse was a great roastmaster, and JFOD definitely works better in person than over the radio/podcast. I especially loved Lauren's air-motorboating Diane, so much so that I wouldn't mind if Lauren ever motorboated me like that sometime!

Great roast, I was laughing so hard I cried. Diane O'Debra and Lauren surprised me with how funny they were. I hope this becomes a yearly occurrence. |
