lol insular religions are fraught with abuse. the policeman who gave him his initial “talking to” when he was 14, well he’s also in jail for CSAM. Josh is a product of that culture; the rule, not the exception.

there’s a girls camp called Journey to the Heart that the IBLP members sent their daughters. their former leader Bill Gothard used that camp to groom and molest them. the entire organization kept their women’s hair long and curly bc that’s how Gothard liked it.
