i came into KATG after PalTalk during the Live…something video chat era. my first marriage was failing hard. he voluntarily went into a War Zone to get away from me. i found y’all and my world exploded with color, possibility, and permission/courage to see myself as i was: beautiful.

i remember the first KATGuhs. we all dressed fancy. i put champagne in my bong that night. i remember winning a KATGuh. it’s among my most treasured accomplishments. i love this community.

fun fact: when you get divorced in the state of GA, you can change your name to “anything reasonable.” when i thought about what made me feel the most myself, it was the nickname my fellow listeners gave me here from my handle. enter: Birdie. it has given me notoriety in my career and burned me into the memories of everyone that’s met me since. when i say you are the loves of my life, i mean it to my marrow. thank you.
