It's already on my list of definite buys (along with Halo 3 and, of course, GTA4)
It's Half Life 2, Half Life 2 Episode 1, Half Life 2 Episode 2, Portal and Team Fortress 2 in one box, the above trailer gives you a better idea.

It has a great engine, and climbing over and around things is huge fun (Medieval Batman simulator) until you realise it's missing an actual game.

It's worth picking up for really cheap preowned or renting, but don't pay anything near retail price for it.

EDIT - hey wait, where did your question go?

You must have been ultra fast to reply. I deleted it shortly after posting it because i opened the tab that the review was in and saw it didn't rate too high. The question was based mainly on all the hype i saw for it shortly after it's release.

I'm increasingly liking the look of Ninja Gaiden 2. I'm starting to think i might have to increase the budget slightly.

Batman - faster than ninjas.

I haven't got Ninja Gaiden 2 yet but I LOVE the first game and the demo is great. A warning - it's known to get really fucking hard (I consider that a virtue these days but some people are put off by it).

True. I bought Devil May Cry 3 for my PS2 and it took me 4 or 5 tries just to get past the 2nd level. I gave up after i died multiple times in the 4th level, each time having to start from scratch.

As long as there is some sort of save point / checkpoint system i'm fine. I'm just not a fan of working up a nice dose of thumb RSI only to die and have to start all over again.

Yeah, there are some spikes but it's fair and varied difficult rather than the 'OH I HAVE TO WALK THROUGH HERE AGAIN?' of Devil May Cry. It's also very, very pretty.

Yea, i just siffed through the 100+ pictures on IGN.
Very very impressive.

It also instantly reminded me a fair bit of God of War with the blood and the beasts.

The second game is very bloody, with limbs flying all over the place and the enemies still fight you after losing limbs. If you chop an enemy's limb off, you can do finishing moves and they'll use suicidal attacks.

Free game: Get GRAW. Good gameplay, story, and graphics.

I think he said he couldn't get the hang of military FPS games, which GRAW absolutely is (not played it myself, but I like the sequel).
