I teach 9th and 10th grade English. But science is a way better idea to teach. There is a big demand for science and math teachers. As far as making fun of kids, I like almost all of these kids. I just think the phases kids go through are hilarious, and this is one of the funniest. When they get older they will look back and say, "What the hell was I doing?" Also, you never make fun of kids in front of them. You go home and tell hilarious emo stories to your roommates and think of how ridiculous it is for spoiled white kids to be this fake-sad.

And is the demand for science teachers who are schooled in Intelligent Design? That's a joke...sort of.

And you're absolutely right, the majority of the kids will outgrow that crap and realize how silly they were once they get some perspective on the world. Yet another reason why fucking kids is wrong. They don't understand shit.

[RANT=Cubby] Fucking itelligent design. I just don't think they should spend significant time on ANY origin theory because it will piss people off regardless of what is taught. If you don't want your kids to think we came from Mikey the poker-playing chimp, tell your kids that, don't rename creationism "intelligent design" and try to stick it back in school. No one can know for certain where the universe/life came from and maybe in 100 years we'll have a different, non-evolution, non-creation theory. Just accept that we are here and try to learn from what you CAN observe; that is what science is based on. [/RANT]

In the woods? Why can't they do that in a controlled environment, like a convention or something?

Sure, I'm a geek (I'm on the comedy Anime side of the spectrum), but outside of Halloween, can't do it.

Granted, I went to Gen Con a few years ago for a big tournament, and some of the Goth chicks were nice to look at. Still can't dress myself up. I can geek out at a convention, but I'm not "Pretty Princess Dress-me-up".

I think we can safely say that anyone who has a username on a message board who is not in high school is officially a geek. (This is where i raise my hand and say, "guilty.")

They have real (dull) swords and everything. But they have all these rules about not being allowed to use the swords, swing them at people, etc. They are decorative. What's the fun in that?

Regarding conventions, you haven't lived until you've seen a 40+ overweight woman dressed as Xena.

...yeah, I have. And her equally overweight husband dressed as Hercules.

Some of those chicks can be hot, though. Maybe it's the S&M thing.

Oh yeah, the geek crowd is surprisingly kinky. Lots of people don't know that.

Wow, I just realized something.

What does a kidnapped girl have to do with an S&M freak?

Read this thread and find out.

We're bad, somehow.
