Thanks, guys! No, Ivy's not exactly me, but she's an amalgam of who I was at 17 and who I wished I was then. I was a lot more passive and less aggressive. Everyone in that book is based off of several "archetypical" folks I knew at that age. I tried not to have any one-for-one parallels with actual people I knew. I based the asshole dude in Ivy's school off this one guy who used to fuck with me mercilessly, but I drew him to resemble another guy who never did anything mean to me, but just had really bad 90's hair. So I hope if anyone I went to high school with reads this, they don't think poor ol' Tom was a jerk. He just had terrible hair.
