Unhappy Bands you're embarrassed you used to love...

Like any other taste, music tastes change a lot over time, especially when you're in your teens (or so I found). A while back I took a look through my old CD's and concert tickets while essentially muttering "what the fuck... WHAT THE FUCK..." under my breath the whole time.

I think my biggest embarrassment is I used to be a huge Limp Bizkit fan. HUGE. The reasons why are completely beyond me now... My first concert was Family Values '99. I skipped school to drive to the nearest Best Buy and pick up "Chocolate Starfish and the Hotdog Flavored Water". I still know all the lyrics to "Nookie" by heart. Fucking hell, I have no idea what I was thinking back then...

Anyone else have any good examples?

(as a side-note I can say shitty nu-metal bands like LB and Korn are what lead me to the amazing assortment of metal bands I listen to now, so I guess they were good for something)

Kelly Clarkson.

Seen her live twice.. only once had the potential to end with me getting laid. The second time was my choice to go.

You know, if it had been your choice the first time that would be one thing. If I'm reading this right, however, you went hoping to get laid - didn't get laid - and then went again just for the pure musical enjoyment of it.

On the other hand, you are a Dex fan, so I have to weigh this information appropriately.

First time was a "date" i was talked into by a co-worker (for her friend) however during drinks after the gig, she showed just how annoying she was so i faked a call on my mobile and excused myself outside to take it, got outside and left.

The second time, yes.. purely my choice. I bought the ticket and everything. Breakaway is a decent album... must be, i own 2 copies of it.

"Duran Duran"
"Culture Club"
"WHAM"
"Quiet Riot"

There are others I am sure, but the shame is over-whelming me and I must stop. I was a teenager is my excuse.

What?! That's just uncanny.

I dunno, I get weird looks from the few people who remember Oingo Boingo, but then I'm like, "Danny Elfman is obviously a musical genius, so you can't knock his rock band."

And then I skip away singing, "Nasty habits..."
