Is it even proven that he actually did, indeed, have long hair? Those are just pictures you know. Jesus probably doesn't look like that.

If I recall correctly, everything about Jesus was compiled/edited/written by church officials around 400CE. Unimportant details like hairstyle could have been fabricated. I could easily be mistaken about this.

And didn't everyone back then have long hair? Barbers weren't exactly commonplace.

i really dough that jesus looked like a hippy... he probably looked like any other middle east person (unless you are a mormon, then he is white and went to the US). and i don't think that he would have long hair, especially when you have to walk around the warm climate of isreal etc...
