The Republicans are acting like this is some conspiracy cooked up by Obama to hide his birth status. What the hell for? He's been in office for almost 3 years now, on top of 3 years of prep and campaigning. Chances are SOMEONE in 6 years verified this. Not to mention, Article 2 of the constitution says if you were born in this country at the time of the adoption of the constitution, you're eligible. The constitution was adopted in 1787, and Hawaii became the 50th state in 1959.

I was born in Hawaii, and I recently had to request a copy of my birth certificate from the state records department. I too got a "certificate of live birth" instead of the complete copy of the certificate. This certificate goes to all Hawaiian-born people, not just those who want to fuck with Republicans because there's nothing else to do.

Well when hilary clinton and then later on the gop spent millions in opposition research they realized this was just a rumor with no merit yet somehow the people who have a personal issue with obama either because of race or political ideology are just looking for ways to attack him. What better way than trying to convince gullible people that he is not a legitimate american and therefore not a legitimate president.

The sad thing is if they didn't waste time on this silliness they could attack him for legitimate reasons like his decisions and campaign promises which i wouldn't have an issue with, but people who believe in this live for conspiracy theories i have a friend like this he is the same guy who listens to glen beck and alex jones like its the gospel.

He should have just done it to begin with. Yeah its not good to respond to EVERY fringe demand, but its not like this was jumping though some kind of hoop, it was proving that he was constitutionally allowed to do the job. All he did was fuel the fire by releasing every single document OTHER then his actual long form.

I think we should just go ahead and pass a law that says you need a birth certificate when you run, just to avoid this BS again.

I don't know dick about photoshop, never even used it, and for all I know they are probably just making this up, but this is a cool video.

Its alex jones, I have been listening to this guy for years (I believe about 80% of what he says, all the government corruption and stuff. And he is really tame for a conspiracy theorist, he doesn't believe in any of that alien or reptilian crap)

My BF was once an FBI agent. He was telling me about the background checks they do and the many layers of checks he had to go through. If that's what he had to go through to be an agent, what do you think Obama had to go through to be President? If no one caught it, then we are the dumbest group of people in the world.

What were the Republicans hoping to accomplish with this? He's been President going on 3 years now. Did they want to undo everything he's done as president? Pretend he was never there? It will never happen, and it's a terrible waste of time and money. It's grasping at straws at the worst levels. If Obama were white or Republican, this would never be an issue.

It's bullshit. And this blogger was able to achieve the same layered result with Donald Trump's birth certificate here. It has something to do with how Adobe Acrobat saves PDF images.

Look, there are no questions raised. These racist pricks can't get over the fact that there is a black man in the White House. The state of Hawaii's policy is to keep the long form "Certificate of Live Birth" physically on file with the Department of Health. When someone requests a copy of their birth certificate, they receive the short form "Certification of Live Birth." I know this to be a fact because I conduct background investigations on attorneys who are taking the bar, and we process Hawaii applications. Every applicant who includes a birth certificate with their application includes the short form, the exact same short form that Obama released in 2008.
