bluecrucial Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2006 Posts: 649	Boardwalk Empire (What did people think?) There has been a few threads dedicated to event television and I was wondering if anyone check out Boardwalk Empire. Personally I really enjoyed it. The music and the costumes and everything blew me away, as HBO typically does. Reminded me of why I love Deadwood so much. Somewhat based on some real people and then kicked up to be way more entertaining. Really like miniseries about legendary figures. Apparently I'm not the only one. After seeing some of their highest ratings for a pilot since Deadwood in 2004, HBO has bought a second season after just 1 episode. A lot of the scenes made me want to go watch Gangs of New York which isn't surprising considering Scorsese was involved in the shows creation. If you were into the Sopranos, you'll likely enjoy this show. And you're only one episode late if you haven't seen it yet! Trailer:
