It has been looking increasing more likely that I will be moving from my beloved Chicago and into Boston at the beginning of July. BF is transferring to a different part of our company and I am very excited. But then theres all this stuff to do....
So KATG community I'm asking for your help. Can you give me the best of boston and info any info about the area that might be relevant? Does anyone know of a great place to find apartments listed online besides the mess that Craigslist appears to be? Are there any listeners in the area that might be down to hang out? Any other stuff that might be helpful basically. I've been to Boston once for a day and besides the fact that its cold I have little to nothing that I know about it.

Don't most people live outside of Boston and commute into the city for work? Never lived there, but I think that's the case.

This is very true. Boston is such a small city there really isn't any living spaces worth paying for within city limits.

True, people commute from as far away as Manchester, NH (where rent is 1/3 what it would be in Boston).

Many who do commute use the Boston Express — Connecting Tyngsboro, Nashua, Manchester, Londonderry and Salem to Boston and Logan Airport ...
air-conditioned, clean buses with wifi.

DUH. I should have included this.
BF will work in Hingham so were looking at neighborhoods of dorchester or matapan. Or going into neighboring Quincy. Looking to be VERY VERY near a T station and nearish a highway.

Newton looks to be a bit too far of a commute for him. He wants to keep his commute to a minimum. Which is again something I should have mentioned. I am terrible at helping you guys help me.

um, are you looking at a map of where Waltham is?
Boston metroplex is called 'the hub'. You are either inside or outside 95/128.
Mattapan is good if you need access to crack.

That aside.
Apparently I was miscommunicated to. Waltham is not where BF would be commuting to. Actual office is in Hingham.
I think this might have fulfilled my three strikes. I truly apologize for me being a sort of dummy.
