Of course it wouldn't, that's my point. We wouldn't be making any improvements in that area, but we don't actually have the utopia that gets talked about now, so why not increase the personal freedoms?

The majority of people voted for prop 8, so I don't understand how everyone celebrated except the church.

I think you are quite capable of understanding that whatever the situation is, however many laws are on the books - there will be those who refuse to follow them and there will be those who choose to find a way to ignore them. Fewer but simpler laws does eliminate some of the latter. Regarding making contract law more accessible, I'm all for it. How about we stop persecuting those who read the current law and share their research? |
