I've also had tinnitus and the combination would point to that, but the vertigo spells and the tinnitus never eclipse one another. ENTs and Neurologist didn't diagnose meniere's. I was on meclazine for a while with no benefit. Made me drowsy.

Diagnosis - "vestibular system disturbance presumable of peripheral origin."

And on a side topic, my first experience with tinnitus was the result of being too close to the speakers at the Jones Beach Morrissey concert. Ears rang for several days. Later that week I attended a Fishbone concert and it was so loud had to walk out, I was so afraid of further damaging my hearing.

Vertigo blows. I know a set of twins who have vertigo spells and it's wicked bad when they're drunk. Kinda funny to watch them fall down though
