Did Keith ever do a Bob Dylan (re)discovery?
I don't remember Keith ever saying anything about Bob Dylan.
My official position is that people wouldn't know how to sing words if not for Bob Dylan. |

Your opinion is ridiculous. Bob Dylan doesn't even know how to sing words.
Besides, for Keith to listen to Bob's whole discography would probably be torture. Any honest person would have to admit Dylan's only made 5-10 really good albums. The rest range from decent to terrible. Bob Dylan's influence comes from his lyrics, not his voice. Even music style was pretty new for the mainstream. But his music is usually good, despite his voice, not because of it...ESPECIALLY in later years when he becomes completely incoherent. |

(Endlessly strum one chord) well i went and heard princess and a unicron pay the piper steeple chasing meat grading shaved bacon hows it feel knowing junkers jiving while napoleon is driving in a white caboose and tricky guitar in five line rodeo (Blow into a harmonica) OHHHH HOW DOES IT FEEL!!! Rinse...repeat until 20+Albums and thats pretty much Dylan in a nutshell Like a Rolling Stone is one of the greatest songs of all time though. Last edited by doctorsleep; 08-31-2010 at 10:06 PM. |

yeah, I've never listened to all of Bob Dylan's albums, no mind listen to all of them in a row.
But, he is a great songwriter and he inspired great songwriters. I'm a pothead, but I like his songwriting style and I like it when other interesting songwriters get Bob Dylan-y. I was surprised I couldn't remember much Bob Dylan bashing from Keith, but again my memory doesn't always serve me well. Keith seems to like the Rolling Stones so I kinda wonder what Keith would think of the album "Bringing It All Back Home." I think the Rolling Stones listened to that album a few times. I'm glad they did. |
