dammit, you beat me to this simple point. it occured to me in the car last night, but yes, so long as the rules are different based on sex then it simply is not fair or equal- and i think thats the only really important question. if a law is based on discrimination it is wrong.

Look again at my post (read more than just what you think you can argue with): there is absolutely no punishment for women exposing their breasts unless to offend or disrupt the peace. Obviously a women in a protest toting a handgun on her bare chest is doing it to evoke alarm.

Well I wouldn't have anything against it, except this is Alaska (I know we don't count) so with exception to the month or two of toasty weather, I don't anticipate we'd see much in the way of titties in many public places... I could be mistaken... but I highly doubt it

Actually honey, I know her, and like me, she just likes the freedom to walk around naked and furthermore I've actually never seen her unarmed. This is New Hampshire and that part just isn't the big deal you seem to think it is.

Now personally, I prefer a shoulder holster and that just doesn't work well without a bra - but that's my choice isn't it?

Having lived in various parts of Africa, I've experienced topless society. My parents were worried about exposing me to the "wild" aspect of the continent at first. Afterall they had little choice, since most of the native population went topless. We adjusted within a few months, and no one thought anything of it. In fact, it's still not that much of a big deal. There are practical times when a woman should wear some sort of cloth over her breasts, i.e. when nursing. But having to be covered is really a cultural stigma of the past. Keep in mind, that you were considered a person of a lose morallity if you exposed your upper thigh, just over half a century ago. So I think the trend is to go topless eventually. Whats the big deal?
