I'd definitely use that. Anything that stops me having to deal with iTunes or the App Store app on my iPhone is a definite download.

Here is what I've got:

I did 90% of the website code. Some parts, like the blogging code, is heavily modified open source. The code to round the corners was also outsourced.

The design is outsourced.

The Sync program was nearly all outsourced. Doug (from KATG iPhone App) is doing the Mac code and another shop is doing windows.
Sweet.

Regarding the studio, I guess I should have said, 'have your sister record it'. Her voice is aces. Yours... not so much.

No offense, of course.

What you're looking for is multiband compression and equalization to give you a "bigger" more broadcast type sound. I'll send you some stuff. (Also a nice condenser mic and a decent preamp can make things quite a bit nicer)

Screenflow, if I'm not mistaken.

I'd leave the installation instructions in... you see so many new Mac users doing this wrong...

Shorter is better: lose the install instructions or go all in and show people how to open their browser from the dock and type in the URL too.

I honesty don't understand why anyone would want to publish a list of their apps, but I don't really understand why social networking sites are so popular either. What would be useful is a yappler app, or a mobile version of the web page. Simply promote it as an improved app store for use in the iPhone itself.
I think, in general, people are afraid to download a program. The install and full walk through is meant to show them the full process and not fear any part of the program use.

People love showing things off. You have a ton of widgets that show quiz results and other similar stuff. I think bloggers and social networking site users would enjoy this.

You're right, I really need to create a CSS version of the site. The reason it's taking so long is because I wanted to get all the main elements of the site in place first. I don't want to have to keep rebuilding two css files. I've got so many things to do already. But I think I can now focus on skinning for iphone

What makes you call it crap? Any constructive feedback?

Using her voice was the original idea but I needed something out already. I want to create a few versions and then get her to do the walk through that turns out the best. I have some more changes in mind that will have more going on during the first 10 seconds of the video. Right now we're just looking at a screen shot while I do the intro. That needs to be more interesting.

Right, and it also makes people more comfortable with downloading a program if they've seen the entire process. Shows there are no surprises.

I created a new version of the video that has, what I think is, a better introduction. Only the first 10 seconds are different.

Which version do you like best?
