I loved the premise. And I thought there was so much to explore there that this movie left out. Instead, it was a pretty by-the-books detective mystery. Not much more interesting than an old episode of Law & Order. B-

It also bothered me that after the first murder they talk about how they can't even remember the last time they had a murder case. All anyone would have to do is find out where someone lives and they could kill them. If anything I think murders would go way up considering you can kill someone without having any risk of getting yourself hurt in the process.

I picked it mainly because I read a bit of the comic. I agree, a lot more could have been done with the premise, but I still found it fun. And it's usually the main premise that gets my head buzzing when it comes to sci-fi, rather than specifically what happens on the screen. It had the potential to make an excellent TV show though.

Y'know, I have yet to see The Surrogates despite the fact it's based on a friend of mine's graphic novel. Ow! my foot! Sorry, I dropped a name.
Before you ask, yes, he hated the movie. |

Just finished the movie. Certainly wasn't mind-blowing, but it was better than I kind of expected. When it's sci-fi I have a hard time deciding between looking at the big picture or nitpicking it to death, this one even while looking at the big picture had a lot of glaring problems. Still entertaining enough to watch, and as an added bonus Bruce Willis with hair! 4.5/10
