Finally some NFL!

Hey guys, I am fucking pumped that the nfl regular season started tonight. Just thought I'd start a thread to see if anyone was interested in talking some football and some shit. Got picks for the super bowl or your division? Your team have some players that are going to be exciting this year? Do you talk about your team as "we"? Basically, I just love football, and even though a large portion of us are nerds here, I reckon alot of you like it too.

I think it's going to be a rough year for my Chiefs. I think they'll play good football but our schedule is absurd this year. I can't expect the chargers to fuck up badly enough this year to not win the division, but I think my chiefs will take second.

Also, I like having a number #2 team to root for when the chiefs aren't playing. Used to be the cowboys but i can't support jerry jones anymore. I like an owner who likes winning more than cash. So, I like the pack and the saints (who are both playing tonight). I like packer fans as they are generally knowledgeable and respectful. I like that they are publicly owned as well. And I like the saints because I've had a few trips to new orleans that have been fucking amazing. Any thoughts that might tip my scales one way or the other?

I'm annoyed that I don't have cable this year. I'm further annoyed that I lost track of my timeline and accepted a work shift this Sunday. Of all days to take a shift, and of all days to work when this game, between my two fave teams, is on TV...

I call shenanigans. 8 penalties on the Cowboys, and ZERO on the Jets. This whole game reeked of fallacies. Maybe I'm being conspiracy overloaded, but seriously, how does everyone not see that this was not a normal NFL game?

you called it with your chiefs, that was a rough game. if you need a backup team, root for the Packers.
1. their in the nfc, so its ok to have a afc team and a nfc team.
2. besides me, their fans aren't douche bags. no one gets stapped or stomped in the parking lots.
3. it's the land of beer and cheese
4. the spirts on Lambeau, nuff said.

I'm happier than shit football season is here, now i get one day a week off of work.
