Hey everyone. This might not be news to you, but if it is...then great. Basically Amazon is giving away free Prime memberships to college students, and if you're in college (or really just as long as you have a working .edu e-mail account) you can get a year of Amazon Prime...FOR FREE!

What does that give you? Not a lot...other than FREE 2-DAY SHIPPING w/ no minimum size orders, which is a pretty win deal dude.

It's really easy and quick to sign up for it....just fill in your name, your .edu e-mail, and you're pretty much set.

Just wanted to share this with anyone here who could benefit from it...

THANK YOU for posting this. Hopefully, it will (and SHOULD) save enough money for those of us that do go to school to afford to sign up for those monthly donations. Because textbooks aint cheap mothafuckas!!

fyi, if you're taking upper level courses that uses "classic" textbooks, you can usually find international editions of the books on the cheap (like $30 softcovers, instead of $90 used) or torrent them and print if you really want to save. This doesn't work for lecture-hall type classes that churn out new editions every two years since those textbooks suck.

I used my regular email address but because I bought textbooks I got prime. Of course, I had to upgrade to 1-day shipping, but at least the upgrade was cheaper.
