1. Was Vista installed on the computer when you bought it? What version is it?
2. Has this always happened or did it start happening after you made a change?
3. What is the error when it crashes?

Sorry for the double post, I didn't see this one before I posted.

It was installed, and the only thing I changed was the reserved space for the trash. (It was at 10%)

It just says Fatal Error: For safety, program must be shut down.

If you would like to resolve it, let me know. If you send me your event logs for Applications and System (Computer Management-->System Tools-->Event Viewer-->Windows Log, Right click-->Save All Events and pick CSV for file type) I can steer you in the right direction.

It's highly unusual to have a problem with the default games in Vista. Which game is causing you a problem? Usually the first steps in resolving game type issues is to make sure that you have upgraded to the latest video and sound drivers (XP, Vista, or Win 7). Also you should be on Vista SP 1 or SP 2. Don't even mess with pre SP 1 Vista.

I kind of doubt it. The parent blocks didn't have anything to do with already downloaded games.

I have tested Vista and Win 7 Parent blocks and they do not affect the standard games unless the parents try to get tricky and block specific programs.

You are required to use a privileged account to look at event logs.

Other problems can be caused by getting carried away with anti-virus tools and firewalls. So many people run an additional firewall on top of the one they already have, just because it comes with the anti-virus software they have installed. I personally believe that Symantec and Mcffee cause more problems then they solve.

Well, we're ok in that department, we have Avast, and it works better than any anti anything We've had.

Sounds like an ID-Ten-T or PEBKAC error

Yeah, I can't say I've had any issues with Vista either.
