Gallon of Milk in an Hour
Hey, it seems like this thing is a bit better known than I thought. I'd never heard of people attempting to drink a gallon of milk in an hour, just to fail miserably.
I heard it from my brother, didn't believe it. Asked some friends, still couldn't believe it. Did some googling, and though it does now seem to be a pretty difficult task...I still think I can do it. So if any of you want to see an 18 year old BEAT THE MILK CHALLENGE. I'm gonna be attempting it live on live video. lol Channel: DudeEMETIB on LiveVideo.com 11pm I'm starting and by Midnight I'll have finished the gallon, no vomiting. |

41 seconds!?
I don't know whether or not to do different flavors, I like chocolate milk but too much chocolate milk makes me sick...but that's the chocolate not the milk. I might try that cinnamon challenge again, but I've failed it twice. |

I think the issue is that amount of milk fucks up your pH beyond safe point and so the body makes you vomit out the rest before you die. I'm guessing your strategy is to up your pH somehow, perhaps drinking it with baking soda or something. If not, then you'll surely fail.

Milk is only barely acidic though, so I don't see why it'd be a milk challenge and not an orange juice challenge if the trick is in the ph levels.
While trying to figure out why this milk thing is tricky, I came across a stat that 75% of adults are lactose intolerant. Adults are generally considered people 18 and over, and I think the majority of people doing this are dumb college kids (like me!) so that means right off the bat only 1/4 are even able to maybe do this. And lactase production in people varies, so even in that 1/4 that could possibly drink the gallon in an hour, perhaps only a fraction of those have the lactase production to consume the lactose in milk. What causes lactase production? Genes? Frequency of milk intake? I don't know. I think that's where the "catch" is, but either way I'm still not sure, and either way I'm going to drink the gallon.
