However I'm still concerned about the expression on Brian's face. I think he's annoyed because Brian is both family and one of the "guys". Peter is saying he's sick of being with his family, and also misses his friends. Brian is being insulted twice. And I think that's the true punchline of the joke.

Such a convoluted joke, but I think we cracked it!
