Yeah, Californication is definitely a good show, same with Weeds. I'd also say check out Burn Notice and Breaking Bad (only one season so far on each but pretty good).

I agree with benchman on the IT Crowd. I don't know how you feel about reality shows but Deadliest Catch is in season right now; Rob and Big just ended their series.
