IPhone Podcasts App

The new version/update (1.1.2) of the Podcasts app for Iphone now claims they have resolved the issue of Podcasts playing unexpectedly after a phone call! Yay!

I don't know about everyone else but I have had some embarrassing moments having KATG spontaneously play... the post office, doctor's office waiting room, my Kindergarten classroom...

anyone else?

I hate the podcast app. God I hate that app so much.

Hopefully it resolves more than that! This is the most annoying app I have ever encountered and yet still voluntarily have on my phone.

Yeah I really hate the app as well.. Never had any problems with it playing randomly but I deleted it a few days after the iOS update because of how inconvenient it was to use. I didn't like how the podcasts were no longer in the music app and how I had to look through the entire archive of episodes for every podcast to find the ones I had downloaded. It definitely could be a good app but it needs a lot of work.

Now I just use PodCruncher which I'd recommend to anyone who needs a new podcasting app to switch to. It's free, easy to use, and you can download episodes quickly right from the app instead of going through itunes which can get pretty annoying in itself. Only problem I have with it is you can't see or write reviews for any of the podcasts.

I also HATE the podcasts app, I never had an issue with how it was before. This new system seems heavy and not user friendly. Boo.

Never used the podcast app but I've been using an iphone app called Downcast for quite a while now.
I was always very happy with it and they have been regularly releasing improvements so even though it wasn't free (1 or 2 EUR I think) it was well worth it to get my podcasts without an hassle.

Yes, Downcast is rock solid, if you like your podcasts spend the $1.99 on it.
I used to use Podcaster app, but it crashed all the time.

Yep, downcast all the way. Keeps my VIP feed synced with it.
