Comedy?

So I recently got a promotion at my job which has moved me into a shared office with two other employees who are approximately my age (late 20's) one of which is a female the other a male (I am male). I work in a very relaxed environment, it's not uncommon to wear flip-flops (thongs for the english/aussies) into the office. Recently I have been perplexed by a reaction I recieved from the female office-mate. Here's the story.

My office-mates have known each other for a year or so and are very friendly with each other; joking and giving little presents to each other often. I seriously doubt there is anything romantic going on between them. One day the female was trying to tell the male about her weekend plans going dancing but she didn't know he had his earphones in and couldn't hear him so she had to repeat her initial statement after getting his attention.

Female: So this weekend I'm going to be sweating like a whore in church all night.

Male: Oh, yeah where are you going?

Me: (Spinning around in my chair with a cheshire cat grin on my face) Church.

I look over to my male office mate fully expecting him to burst out laughing and find him stifling his laughter I then look to the female who shoots me 'the eye' and plainly says "That's not funny."

Everyone I've told this story to thinks it is in fact hilarious this includes other people at work so I pose the question to you guys; Comedy or no?
