itunes is fucking with my head
Why has itunes all of a sudden decided that I need to re-download the last 30 or so KATG episodes? and instead of a quote from the show description, they just repost the title of the show...
it's never done this to me before but I heard KATG talk about something like this on a previous episode. Does anyone know what's going on? tanks |

You can still get the quote from clicking the "i" logo to see information on the podcast.
As for the downloading all the shows, my guess would be that KATG are adding the archived shows to Talkshoe, and Talkshoe reads these as new, so they realease them as such. |

It's not iTunes, it's the feed. Same problem with the SSBS and SITC feeds
The feed has <title>, <description>, <itunes:subtitle> and <itunes:summary> tags in it, like so... <title>In iTunes you want - <title> to be the first column - <description> to be the second column - <itunes:summary> to be what you get when you click the (i) but if you put <itunes:subtitle> in your feed it'll override <description> and you get - <title> as the first column, as normal - <itunes:subtitle> as the second column, replacing what you want - <itunes:summary> what you get when you click the (i), as normal The solution is - trash all the <itunes:subtitle> tags in the feed and iTunes will display the <description> tags instead, like the old libsyn feed - or change your <itunes:subtitle> tags to hold the same text as the <description> tags (or just not hold the same text as the <title> tag), like most other talkshoe feeds do.
