well...i was still a kid at the time the NEW adventures of jonny quest came out so I had to give them props for attempting to revive it...

but you still can't deny that one season of classic episodes like "shadow of the condor" or "monster in the monastery"...

Overall, though, the theme song is outstanding, write up there with James Bond and Mission Impossible in the '60s-big-band-style' genre. You know the one

Roxy, I'm guessing you can play it?
MAN i think anybody would have wanted a Race Bannon type in ANY situation or with ANY family...he was just so cool and suave, and rugged. HOT

Hoyt Curtain man, I gotta give it to him...he did such great things with the series in terms of music. Most definitely the Bond type of big band repertoire, and there's apparently a funny story of when he was writing out the main theme: the trombone section (sessioning LA artists at the time so really the BEST of the best out there...) were complaining that what they were reading during other sessions or what not, was too easy...so what happened? well, karma bit them in the ass when Curtain wrote out their parts, because apparently it was physically impossible for them to slide from one position to the other and thus: a babillion takes on the theme and i think to this day you can still hear that the trombones STILL can't hit the parts perfectly hilarious...

and i have yet to play out that theme by ear but hey someday...
at least I've got "hey all you assholes" in every key, lol

O'kay, I've only ever watched the original series. But when did Hadji become hot?

I am kinda disturbed by the fact that in the proposed Johnny Quest Movie, the rumors are that Zac Efron will be Johnny and Dwanye Johnson will be Race. Now Dwanye I can kind of see, but I am completely opposed to Zac being Johnny. He's just too old, and I won't see him as anything but the annoying musical kid. Hmph...

Needless to say, as an old crank, I hate, despise even, live action adaptions of cartoons. I don't get the logic that if someone likes the cartoon, they'd LOVE to see it with real people. Y'know, the charm is the fact it's a cartoon.
But what do I know? Any time one of these movies comes it it makes 23 zillion dollars.

I love the live action Rocky and Bullwinkle movie, altough in all fairness, the titular characters are still cartoons. I think it was able to keep the cheesey, campy goodness of the original series. And I think they did the first Flintstones movie great, it still had cartoony aspects but had more real world personalities and dilemmas. Thumbs up to both of those.
The reasons any TV show turned movie will make bunches if moneys is because no matter how bad it is people have to see it, to attempt to rekindle some feelings of thier past, some happy carefree time when nothing had hidden meanings ans Scooby and Shaggy were just two really hungry guys and velma just wasn't into guys and flirting.
