From your previous comment it sounded like you had the same view as them, but yes, I agree with you that for that audience it wasn't the right fit. As for the general viewing public, however, I think most people enjoyed that comedy than not. So I am in full support of what he did that night.

Ricky Gervais DID suck at the Golden Globes. Apatow's comments are snarky and i dont really appreciate him or his movies that much, but i agree with his opinion on that.

Those jokes were not cruel, "too far" or "crossed the line". they were unfunny, re-heated, jabs that could have been used as a third grade roast and be completely ignored. yawn.

As for Marc, he and apatow have known each other for an while, and i dont think he really cares for Gervais type of humour.
