On Friday of last week, my employer decided they were "
moving in a different direction" and let me go. The three weeks leading up to this were pure hell. Looking back, I'm convinced they were trying to get me to quit. I didn't; I pushed through it with an eye to March 2012 as my quiting date. As Campy suggested in the "cubicle crowd" thread, this was the kick I needed to take the plunge...
Today was my first day as an Independent equities, futures, and options Trader. And it was the first day of the rest of my life. I made 150% of my daily profit goal (meaning I made my profit goal, plus another half-day's profit goal). A great start but by no means does one day define long term success, especially in this business!
