I put off buying an eBook for a long time, mainly because I didn't like the idea of buying a virtual book that I couldn't lend to someone, of course now some can be "lent" but at the time... Anyhow, I finally did get one and specifically chose the Kobo, which is Borders' device, because it supports the ePub format which means I can also download books from the local library. Figured they wouldn't have much besides public domain stuff, but the Hamilton County library (Cincinnati) is part of the Ohio Book Project and has quite a lot of current material.

There is at least one conversion program. I use calibre. That ebook project is awesome., thanks

I really see books going the same way as dvds have with including a digital copy when you get the physical copy.
