Lucky Louie Gets A Bye?

Keith always talks about how he hates when comedians just do the their standup in books or a show. How come Louis C.K. gets away as "brilliant" when he just does his standup on his show?

The beginning of tonight's episode is straight from his standup about how long things take to do.

The true test of a comedian is if they can write New material.

Loius CK should do the joke Dane cooke stole and then show when he did them, that way he could prove Dane is a joke.

As long as we're heading back to this topic, what did you think about the first season of Louie? (you as in both Keith and the general sense of everyone on the forums). I thought it started out strong but it started to get kinda hit or miss towards the end. It left me with the impression his stand-up will far and away trump any of the work he's done or will do in t.v. or movies.

I love the series mostly because i enjoy Luie bein himself. But at times it does look like "Curb your Enthisasm 2". Louie said in his WTF episode that he is working on a second season, but its going to be HARD.
