Marathon
Hey everyone, I'm new to KATG (been listening for 5 days) and so far I am looooving it. Good stuff. This weekend I plan to listen to the 74 hour marathon and I'm wondering how in the world did they do it? Energy drinks? Did they take breaks and nap but kept the show going? How do you do something for over 3 days like that!?

How do you plan on listening to 74 hours over 3 days (72 hours)?
Keith and Chemda weren't present for the full 74 hours. They had a list of guests who would come in and take over. Keith and Chemda started and finished the marathon together, but in between they'd mostly take turns sitting in with guests, and sometimes the guests would run the show by themselves. There were a few hours where it was McNally and Matt B talking about music and taking calls. Same format for the recent 76 hour podcast, except more guests, so more planning/behind the scenes. I believe Keith drank red bull.

Ok I am well aware that 3 days is 72 hours, I suppose i should have said listen to MOST of it but I plan to start on Friday and just keep it playing until it's done. Regardless of switching in and out it is a hell of a challenge. Awesome stuff.

Imagine that for every hour of show you heard, they spent about 3 hours planning the event. Donate, buy books, buy from the store, do whatever you need to do to show some love and appreciation for the mass amount of work that went into having 76 hours worth of great show time!
