my initial thought was not that Michael Vick is the only person out there that should be punished. really my issue is with NFL management. if the image of the NFL is that important they should have stronger rules/punishment for their investments. the NFL tries to paint one picture and the reality is something different. you cant market to families and children and expect these actions to be ok.

they are making a big deal about Vick doing comunity service with the Eagles.. big deal. comunity service is usually written into the players contracts anyway. hes not doing anything that every other player isnt already required to do.

Mike Vick paid for being a dumb ass more than anything else. He had ample opportunity to come clean and let the NFL bail him out. But instead he thought he was smart enough to do it himself. Vick is only "STOP" sign smart, a "YIELD" sign for sure would throw him for a loop.

He has every right to continue his career as a professional quarterback. I think much of the backlash he is getting is because of his high salary. That is just jealousy. Whether you push a mop or play football doesn't really matter.

Most people who would picket or boycott pro football because of Vick more than likely don't view football games in the first place. The NFL has a lot of money invested in Vick. I'm sure their analysts have already ran the numbers and determined the probable payoff vs the losses was good enough to go forward.

Love him or hate him, he will be good for the NFL. He generates press and fans will go to games just to heckle him. I think he's a deplorable human being, but he has served his time. I wish he didn't walk out of jail and right into a million dollar contract, but I didn't make that decision. If he does well, then there is no question. If not, then Minnesota has a million dollar error on their hands. Talent is talent, and the NFL needs talent. Idiots make their way back onto rosters all the time. What's one more idiot?

He didn't kill the dogs for fun, he drowned and electrocuted them because it was a business, and they were losers. If the dogs didn't want to be killed, they should have fought harder. It's just like Doctor-Assisted suicide, so stop with all the bleeding hearts.
